SUBJECT: Corner Grand Avenue Extension (RP 05-01X1)
Dear Edgar:
On September 23, 2008 the Housing and Redevelopment Commission conditionally
approved an extension for Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP 05-01 for property
located at 786 Grand Avenue. Enclosed please find a signed copy of the final
resolutions of approval for the proposed project. These resolutions contain the
conditions of approval for the project.
Your next step is to obtain the appropriate grading and building permits to construct the
proposed project. Please note many of the conditions of approval must be satisfied
prior to the issuance of building permit.

I have included a revised version of Housing and Redevelopment Commission
Resolution No. 459 to be included with AB #410 due to a typographical error.
The original condition read that the expiration date was May 16, 2006 instead of
May 16, 2008. Condition number one (1) should read as follows;
1. The Housing and Redevelopment Commission does hereby APPROVE a
two (2) year extension of Major Redevelopment Permit 05-01 for the
Corner Grand Avenue project to allow the applicant additional time to
apply for and receive approval of the building permits for the subject
project, subject to the conditions set forth in Design Review Board
Resolution No. 307 dated February 27, 2006 and approved by the
Housing and Redevelopment Commission on May 16, 2006. The permit
shall be extended two (2) years from the date of the first permit expiration
which is Mav 16, 2008. The new expiration date for the permit shall be
May 16, 2010. In addition, the following standard Engineering conditions,
Nos. 2 and 3 will apply to the project resulting from a change in
stormwater requirements since the original approval date of this project.

Thank you for applying for an extension of Redevelopment Permit #05-01 (RP 05-01). As you are
aware, on May 16, 2006 the Housing and Redevelopment Commission conditionally approved
Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP 05-01 for property located at 786 Grand Avenue. If building
permits were not obtained by May 16, 2008, the Reclevelopment Permit would have expired unless
you applied for an extension.
We received an application for an extension, although we are missing the mailing labels and the
postage fee in order to continue processing the request for an extension. I spoke with you over
the phone about this and sent a letter dated June 18 although I have not heard back from you. If
we do not receive the mailing labels and associated fees within 10 days, we will consicJer the
application as withdrawn.

where they can be obtained. Please submit the mailing labels to our office as soon as
possible so we can confinue processing your request for an extension.

FUTURE ITEMS REQUIRED PRIOR TO HEARING DA TE
Public Notification Package: (Needed 3 weeks prior to hearing date.) The
public notification package shall include the following information:
a. A typewritten list of the names and addresses of all property owners
within a 600' radius of subject property (including the applicant and/or
owner). The list shall include the San Diego County Assessor's parcel
number from the latest assessment rolls.
b. 600' Radius Map: A map to scale not less than 1" = 200' showing each
lot within 600' of the exterior boundaries of the subject property. Each of
these lots shall be consecutively numbered and correspond with the
property owners list.
c. One set of mailing labels of the property owners within a 600' radius of
the subject property. The list must be typed in all CAPITAL LETTERS,
left justified, void of punctuation. For any address other than single-family
residence, an apartment, suite or building number must be included on a
separate line. DO NOT include it in the street address line. DO NOT
TYPE ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER ON LABELS. DO NOT provide
addressed envelopes - PROVIDE LABELS ONLY.
