HomeMy WebLinkAboutRP 06-03; Roosevelt Center; Redevelopment Permits (RP) (4)City of Carlsbad Housing & Redevelopment Department CITY OF CARLSBAD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ROOSEVELT CENTER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad will hold a special Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California, at 6:00 PIVl on Thursday, March 29, 2007, to consider recommending approval of a request for a Major Redevelopment Permit (RP 06-03) and Coastal Development Permit (CDP 06-09) to allow the construction of a mixed-use development project consisting of 2,410 square feet of retail space, 1,670 square feet of restaurant space, 6,502 square feet of office space, and two (2) apartment units on the property located at 560 and 562 Carlsbad Village Drive (APN: 203-292-15,16,17, & 19) in Land Use District 1 of the Carisbad Village Redevelopment Area. The proposed project location qualifies for participation in the Parking In-Lieu Fee program forthe required retail restaurant, and office parking requirements. The applicant requests to participate in the Parking In-Lieu Fee Program to satisfy the on-site retail, restaurant, and office parking requirement for a maximum of 63 parking spaces. The required residential parking is provided for on-site. Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public hearing. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carisbad, CA 92008. As a result of the environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carisbad, the Housing & Redevelopment Department has determined that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for preparation of environmental documents pursuant to Section 15332 of the State CEQA Guidelines as an infill development project. The Design Review Board will be considering recommending approval of the environmental determination during the public hearing. If you challenge the Major Redevelopment Permit or Coastal Development Permit in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carisbad at or prior to the public hearing.
