Re: Business License and Non-Permitted Wall Signs
Dear Business Owner:
It has been brought to our attention that your business is operating without a business
license. Please be aware that prior to the operation of any business, an approved
business license application is required. Please contact the City of Carlsbad Finance
Department at (760) 602-2495 for instructions on how to apply for your business license
upon receipt of this letter.
Also, our records do not indicate that a new sign permit for permanent signage has
been filed with our department relating to the wall signage at your location. Please be
aware that prior to the installation of any signage, an approved sign permit is required. I
have attached the sign permit application for your convenience. Please contact our
office for sign permit information prior to installing any additional signage to your
building. Please submit the necessary application within ten (10) days from the
referenced date of this letter.
As a courtesy to you, I am sending you this letter before this becomes a code
enforcement issue. If you have any questions regarding the information contained in
