NOTICE OF FINAL ACTION
CHANGE IN USE FROM RESTAURANT TO RESTAURANT WITH ENTERTAINMENT
2777 ROOSEVELT STREET, CARLSBAD, CA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carisbad
has made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 08-17) to
change an existing restaurant use to a restaurant with entertainment on private property at 2777
Roosevelt Street, which is located on the west side of Roosevelt Street between Grand Avenue and
Beech Avenue. The assessor's parcel number is 203-181-09. The Housing and Redevelopment
Director has determined that the proposed project meets all applicable requirements and is
consistent with the Village Master Plan and Design Manual. Therefore, the Director has approved
the subject permit.
The applicant for the Redevelopment Permit is Hennessey's Carisbad LLC. The permit will allow
Hennessey's Tavern to convert from a restaurant only use to a restaurant with entertainment use with
certain operating conditions applied.
If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director on this matter to the
Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Redevelopment
Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal
must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September Sth. Appeal forms are
available at the Housing and Redevelopment Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B.

NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines the minor
alteration of existing private structures and will not have an adverse significant impact on the
environment. Appropriate documentation will be filed by the City of Carisbad's Redevelopment
Department.
