NOTICE OF INTENDED ACTION
CHANGE IN USE FROM SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAURETAIL
3147 ROOSEVELT STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: October 17, 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carisbad
intends to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 08-37) for a land use for property
located at 3147 Roosevelt Street (APN 204-085-03). The property is located on the west side of
Roosevelt Street between Oak Avenue and Pine Avenue. The proposed project consists of the
conversion of an existing single-family residence to a commercial-retail land use. The Housing and
Redevelopment Director has determined that the proposed project meets all applicable requirements
and is consistent with the Village Master Plan and Design Manual. Therefore, the Director intends to
approve the subject permit.
The applicant for the Redevelopment Permit is Lisa Goncalves, who is being represented by Robert
Richardson. The permit will allow this property to convert from a single-family residence to a
commercial-retail land use with certain conditions applied.
Those persons wishing to comment on the proposed project and intended action by the Housing and
Redevelopment Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or contact the Housing and
Redevelopment Department by 5:00pm on Monday. October 27. 2008. If you have comments on the
proposed project and intended action, please contact Laura Robins in the Housing and
Redevelopment Department at (760) 434-2810. You may also provide your comments in writing to
the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carisbad, CA
92008.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines the minor
alteration of existing private structures and will not have an adverse significant impact on the
environment. Appropriate documentation will be filed by the City of Carisbad's Redevelopment
Department.
