Re: A-Frame Sign Permit
Dear Ms. Branciforte:
As you are aware, you applied for an A-Frame Sign Permit through the
Redevelopment Department on November 25, 2008. After reviewing the permit,
staff sent a letter on December 8, 2008 requesting some modifications to the sign
design and additional information for the application. We also sent a letter on
March 9, 2009 requesting a follow-up to your application. Our office has not
received any follow-up to the referenced letter. If you plan to continue pursuing
the A-Frame Sign Pennit, please provide the infonnation requested. If you wish
to withdraw your application, please send a signed letter to our office stating that
you would like to withdraw your permit. We would appreciate your cooperation
in helping to determine the status of this pennit. If we do not receive any
correspondence regarding this application within ten (10) days from the
referenced date ofthis letter, we will designate this application as withdrawn.

Re: A-Frame Sign Permit

Re: A-Frame/Sidewalk Sign Permit Application
Dear Ms. Branciforte:
In reviewing the Sidewalk Sign Permit Application for Caldo Pomodoro, staff has found
that the proposed sidewalk sign does not meet the current Village Sign Guidelines. The
material proposed for the sign is considered a "changeable text area", which is only
permitted to cover 50% of the total sign face. A more permanent sign material and text
is required for approval. Please also be aware that sidewalk signs are not permitted to
have cracked or broken surfaces which are shown in the picture submitted with the
permit application.
Some additional information is also required before the sidewalk permit can be
approved. Please provide the property owner contact information requested on the first
page of the application. Please also include a site plan showing the sign's proposed
location on the sidewalk and the distances from the building to the sign and the sign to
the curb. On the picture submitted of the proposed sign, please also indicate the
dimensions directly on the photo.
In order to have your permit application approved, the above requested changes and
information must be provided. Please make the required sign changes and resubmit
the information to our office for review as soon as possible. We appreciate your
cooperation in this matter.
