Re: Approval of Sidewalk Sign
Dear Mr. Pavagadhi:
Thank you for submitting your application for a Sidewalk Sign. Having received all required
documents, your application has been approved. Attached is a copy of the approved Sidewalk
Sign and Outdoor Display Permit for your records.
The attached permit allows you to retain your sign and display for; 1) as long as the Housing
and Redevelopment Commission allows sidewalk signs and outdoor displays to remain, 2) as
long as the sign and display continues to meet the standards outlined within the Carlsbad
Village Master Plan and Design Manual, and 3) as long as the sign and display is consistent
with this permit approval. It is important to note that the City Council wiil compiete an annual
review of the sidewalk sign and display regulations to determine their continued applicability. A
valid Certificate of Insurance is required for as long as the sidewalk sign and outdoor display
continues to be placed within the public right-of-way.

Dear Business Owner:
We have received a complaint about the property located at 560 Carlsbad Village Drive,
Suite 102. According to our records, your business, Paon Restaurant & Wine Store is
located at that property.
It was found that compliance with the Notice, dated May 5, 2010 from Housing &
Redevelopment Department, has not been achieved. Please compiy with the schedule
below.
Correction Required: Submit all necessary information to Housing & Redevelopment,
including a certificate of insurance to complete the sign and sidewalk sign permit
applications, as soon as possible and in no case latorthan May 28, 2010.
Since the previous Notice did not result in compliance with city code, I must inform you that
further noncompliance in this matter will result in the issuance of an administrative citation
to the property owner. The first citation carries a $100 fine. A second violation will result
in a $200 fine. Subsequent violations will cost $500 each.
The property must be maintained in a clean, safe condition, in full compliance with all
