NEW CONSTRUCTION AND INTENSIFICATION OF USE
1089 CARLSBAD VILLAGE DRIVE, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: December 23, 2010
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director of the City of Carlsbad
has made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Review Permit (RP 10-02) for property located at
1089 Carlsbad Village Drive (APN 203-320-31). The property is located on the south side of Carlsbad
Village Drive just west of the Interstate 5 Freeway. The proposed project consists of an addition of 697
square feet to an existing structure. The Housing and Neighborhood Director has determined that the
proposed project meets all applicable requirements and is consistent with the Village Master Plan and
Design Manual. Therefore, the Director has approved the subject permit.
The applicant for the Administrative Review Permit is Contel Project Management representing the property
owner, Allahyari Family Trust. The permit will allow the addition of 697 square feet to the convenience
store building.
If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director on this matter to the
Planning Commission, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Neighborhood Services
Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal must be
submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011. Appeal forms are available at the
Housing and Neighborhood Services Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B. If you have
questions regarding this permit, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing and Neighborhood Services

NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15301 (d)(1) of the State CEQA Guidelines in that the
project involves the addition to an existing structure that will not result in an increase of more the 50 percent
of the floor area of the structure before the addition. Appropriate documentation will be filed by the City of
Carlsbad's Housing and Neighborhood Services Department.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director of the City of
Carlsbad intends to APPROVE an Administrative Review Permit (RP 10-02) for property located at
1089 Carlsbad Village Drive (APN 203-320-31). The property is located on the south side of
