NOTICE OF INTENDED ACTION
INSTALLATION OF TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNAE ON EXISTING BUILDING
560 CARLSBAD VILLAGE DRIVE, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: March 3, 2010
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN tiiat the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad intends
to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 10-05) and Coastal Development Permit (CDP
10-03) for the installation of six (6) panel antennae, six (6) DAP head units and three (3) directional
antennae mounted inside faux chimneys on the building located at 560 Carlsbad Village Drive. The property
is located at the intersection of Carlsbad Village Drive and Roosevelt Street. The assessor parcel number
is 203-292-22. The proposed project is located within the Coastal Zone, but is not within the "appealable"
area of the Coastal Zone.
The applicant for the administrative redevelopment/coastal development permit is Mike Morganson for
Clearwire Wireless. The application for the subject permit was submitted on January 26, 2010.
The proposed project includes the installation and operation of six (6) panel antennae, six (6) DAP head
units and three (3)directional antennae stealth mounted inside faux chimneys on the building located at 560
Carlsbad Village Drive. None of the equipment cabinets will be visible from the ground. No grading,
removal of landscaping, or use of existing parking area is proposed with this project.
Those persons wishing to comment on the proposed project and intended action by the Housing and
Redevelopment Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or contact the Housing and
Redevelopment Department by 5:00pm on Friday, March 12. If you have comments on the proposed
project and intended action, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing and Redevelopment Department at
(760) 434-2813. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and Redevelopment
Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the Planning Director has determined that the project is exempt
from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15301 of the State
CEQA Guidelines and will not have an adverse significant impact on the environment.
