NOTICE OF INTENDED ACTION
CONSTRUCTION OF RESTAURANT SPACE
2995 STATE STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: May 26, 2011
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director of the City of
Carlsbad intends to APPROVE an Administrative Review Permit (RP 10-42) for property located at
2795 State Street (APN 203-293-06). The property is located on the northwest corner of State Street
and Carlsbad Village Drive. The proposed project consists of the construction of a small fast-service
restaurant surrounded by a park-like setting. The Housing and Neighborhood Services Director has
determined that the proposed project meets all applicable requirements and is consistent with the
Village Master Plan and Design Manual. Therefore, the Director intends to approve the subject
permit.
The applicant for the permit is James Markham. The permit will allow the construction of restaurant
space and a required restroom.
Those persons wishing to comment on the proposed project and intended action by the Housing and
Neighborhood Services Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or contact the
Housing and Neighborhood Service Department by 5:00pm on Monday. June 6. 2011. If you have
comments on the proposed project and intended action, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing
and Neighborhood Services Department at (760) 434-2813. You may also provide your comments in
writing to the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B,
Carlsbad, CA 92008.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15332 of the State CEQA Guidelines in that the
project is classified as an in-fill project on a site of less than five acres. Appropriate documentation
will be filed by the City of Carlsbad's Planning Department.
