NOTICE OF FINAL ACTION
CONVERSION OF GARAGE AND SHED TO OFFICE SPACE
2892 JEFFERSON STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: January 26, 2011
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director of the City of
Carlsbad has made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Review Permit (RP 10-45) for
property located at 2892 Jefferson Street (APN 203-306-10). The property is located on the
northeast corner of Jefferson Street and Grand Avenue. The proposed project consists of the
conversion of an existing garage and shed to office space. The Housing and Neighborhood Services
Director has determined that the proposed project meets all applicable requirements and is consistent
with the Village Master Plan and Design Manual. Therefore, the Director has approved the subject
permit.
The applicant for the permit is Amy Melden. The permit will allow the garage and shed to convert into
office space with certain conditions applied.
If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director on this matter
to the Planning Commission, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Neighborhood
Services Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written
appeal must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011. Appeal forms are
available at the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street,
Suite B. If you have questions regarding this permit, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing and
Neighborhood Services Department at (760) 434-2813.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15303 of the State CEQA Guidelines in that the
project involves the conversion of an existing small structure from one use to another where only
minor modifications are made to the interior of the structure. Appropriate documentation will be filed
by the City of Carlsbad's Housing and Neighborhood Services Department.
