NOTICE OF INTENDED ACTION
ADDITION OF OUTDOOR DINING PATIO
2812 ROOSEVELT STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: April 14, 2012
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director of the City of
Carlsbad intends to APPROVE an Administrative Review Permit (RP 12-15) for property located at
2812 Roosevelt Street (APN 203-182-04). The property is located on the east side of Roosevelt
Street between Beech Avenue and Grand Avenue. The proposed project consists of the addition of
a 400 square foot outdoor dining patio at Pronto's Market. The Housing and Neighborhood Services
Director has determined that the proposed project meets all applicable requirements and is
consistent with the Village Master Plan and Design Manual. Therefore, the Director intends to
approve the subject permit.
The applicant for the Administrative Review Permit is John Yelland. The permit will allow addition of
a 400 square foot outdoor dining patio.
Those persons wishing to comment on the proposed project and intended action by the Housing and
Neighborhood Services Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or contact the
Housing and Neighborhood Services Department by 5:00pm on Mondav. April 23. 2012. If you have
comments on the proposed project and intended action, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing
and Neighborhood Service Department at (760) 434-2813. You may also provide your comments in
writing to the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B,
Carlsbad, CA 92008.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines as exterior
alteration of existing private structures will not have an adverse significant impact on the
environment. Appropriate documentation will be filed by the City of Carlsbad's Housing and
Neighborhood Services Department.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director of the City of
Carlsbad has made a final decision to APPROVE Administrative Review Permit (RP 12-15) for
property located at 2812 Roosevelt Street (APN 203-182-04). The property is located on the east
side of Roosevelt Street between Beech Avenue and Grand Avenue. The proposed project consists
of the addition of a 400 square foot outdoor dining patio at Pronto's Market. The Housing and
Neighborhood Services Director has determined that the proposed project meets all applicable

If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director on this matter
to the Planning Commission, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Neighborhood
Services Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written
appeal must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2011. Appeal forms are
available at the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street,
Suite B. If you have questions regarding this permit, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing and
