You may also induce any background information and supponing statements regarding the reasons fcr. or appropnateness of, the application. Use an addendum sheet if necessary. Description/Explanation. This project involves the construction of an outdoor dining patio for the existing Dinis By-The-Sea Restaurant, the construction of a new front door and entry walkway at the front of the building, and the addition of a new canvas canopy over the proposed new entry walk. The proposed patio will entail 325 sq. ft. of new on-grade paving, and will necessitate the relocation of 1 exisitng palm tree. The patio will be sur- rounded by a 30" high stucco wall with a 30" glass windscreen on top (total ht. of enclosure = 5*-0"). The new patio will accommodate 30 seats, but the new entry and interior cir- culation pattern will necessitate the elimination of 12 existing seats on the inside (for a total net increase of 18 seats). The restaurant currently has 36 parking spaces on site (including 4 handicapp- ed spaces) and proposes that the 103 spaces currently provided in the adjacent Tamarack Beach Resort should be considered as adequate for the increased seating requested. The resort cleintele who stay in the hotel and timeshare units, do not use all the parking provided at the resort. Also many of the people staying in the hotel and timeshare units walk to the connected restau- rant and do no thereby generate any need for additional parking spaces.
