Also provide precise slope analysis when a slope of 15' or higher and 15% grade or greater is present on the site. The site is a dirt shoulder adjacent to the paved roadway and along a park that is landscaped with grass, ivy, and lantana bushes. 2. Please describe energy conservation measures incorporated into the design and/or operation of the project. None PLEASE AHACH A PROJECT SUMMARY SHEET WHICH SHOWS THE FOLLOWING: a. This project provides a safe pedestrian access around an existing City park. The project constructs street sidewalk that also connects to a sidewalk inside the park. This increases the accessibility of the park by replacing the rough gravel shoulder around the park. ® ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ANALYSIS Please Answer each of the following questions by placing a check in the appropriate space. Maybe EXPLANATION: Maxton Brown Park is not presently handicap accessible. EXPLANATION: The construction site is a dirt and gravel road shoulder adjacent to park 1andscaping. 8) Could the activity significantly affect an historical or archaeological site or its settings? EXPLANATION: No historical or archaeological resources are known to be in or near the site. 9) Could the activity significantly affect the potential use, extraction, or conservation of a scarce natural resource? EXPLANATION: A project site is. separated from the Buena Vista Lagoon wetland by about 100 feet of park buffer. Project does not abut the lagoon or any area of natural or native vegetation. 11) Are there any rare or endangered plant or animal species in the activity area? EXPLANATION: Project is next to either paved road- way or irrigated landscaping consisting of common grass, lantana, and ivv. No rare or endangered species exist in the project site or adjacent Maxton Brown Park. 12) Could the activity change existing features of any of the city's stream, lagoons, bays, tidelands or beaches? EXPLANATION: No agricultural lands are in the vicinity of the project site. 14) Could the activity serve to encourage development of presently undeveloped areas or intensify develop- ment of already developed areas? EXPLANATION: Although a separate EIA application was recently submitted for sidewalk construction on the rest of Laguna Drive, the Maxton Brown Park sidewalk has a separate funding source and will be built whether or not the larger sidewalk project is approved. 17) Will the activity require certification, authoriza- tion or issuance of a permit by any local, state or federal environmental control agency? EXPLANATION: No permits- are required; project is believed to be CEQA exempt (Class 4, minor alter- ations to land) 18) Will the activity require issuance of a variance or conditional use permit by the City? EXPLANATION: No Citv variance or CUP is required. 19) Will the activity involve the application, use, or disposal of potentially hazardous materials?
