HomeMy WebLinkAboutRP 94-05Ax4; Village Farmers Market; Redevelopment Permits (RP) (4)Citv of Carlsbad Housing & Redevelopment Department CITY OF CARLSBAD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REQUEST TO AMEND THE VILLAGE FARMER'S MARKET HELD EVERY WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Design Review Board of the City of Carisbad will hold a special Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers, 1200 Carisbad Village Drive, Carisbad, California, at 6:00 pm on Monday, July 24, 2006, to consider recommending approval to the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of a request to amend Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP94-05(A)x3 to amend the hours of the Wednesday Farmers Market, and to eliminate the extended summer hours on Wednesday, and allow a maximum of six (6) open cooking vendors and two (2) additional non-produce vendors for both the Wednesday and Saturday Farmer's Market, which occurs in the public parking lot located mid-block on the east side of Roosevelt Street between Carisbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue in Land Use District No. 1 of the Carisbad Village Redevelopment Area. Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public hearing. If you have any questions or would like a copy of the staff report, please contact Cliff Jones in the Housing and Redevelopment Department at (760) 434-2813. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carisbad, CA 92008. As a result of the environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carisbad, the Planning Department has determined that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for preparation of environmental documents pursuant to Section 15311 of the State CEQA Guidelines as placement of a minor structure accessory to an existing facility. The Design Review Board will be considering recommending approval of the environmental determination during the public hearing. If you challenge the request to amend Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP94-05(A)x3 in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carisbad at or prior to the public hearing.
