HomeMy WebLinkAboutRP 94-05Ax5; Village Farmers Market; Redevelopment Permits (RP) (4)Citv of CaiNsbacI Housing & Redevelopment Department CITY OF CARLSBAD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REQUEST TO AMEND THE HOURS AND EXTEND THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE PERMIT FOR THE VILLAGE FARMER'S MARKET HELD EVERY SATURDAY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad will hold a special Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carisbad, California, at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 27, 2008, to consider recommending approval to the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of a request to amend IVIajor Redevelopment Permit No, RP94-05(A)x4 to amend the hours of the Saturday Farmers Market and to extend the expiration date of the Redevelopment Permit for the Saturday Farmer's IVIarket to September 19, 20011 which occurs in the public parking lot located mid-block on the east side of Roosevelt Street between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue in Land Use District No. 1 of the Carlsbad Village Redevelopment Area. Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public hearing, if you have any quesfions or would like a copy of the staff report, please contact Austin Silva in the Housing and Redevelopment Department at (760) 434-2813. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008. As a result of the environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carlsbad, the Planning Department has determined that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for preparation of environmental documents pursuant to Section 15311 of the State CEQA Guidelines as placement of a minor structure accessory to an existing facility. The Design Review Board will be considering recommending approval of the environmental determination during the public hearing. If you challenge the request to amend Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP94-05(A)x4 in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carisbad at or prior to the public hearing.
