PROJECT NAME: CARLSBAD BREWERY AND PUBLIC HOUSE
APPLICANT NAME: BRETT REDMAYNE-TITLEY
Please describe fully the proposed project. Include any details necessary to

Description/Explanation:
Due to the fact that a large grain silo is more efficient for operations of a
microbrewery, the Carlsbad Brewery and Public House would like to revise its Major
Redevelopment Permit and Coastal Development Permit to delete the previously
approved four small "grain display containers" and add one large grain silo indicated
on our plans. This large grain silo is |0 feet in diameter and will be no taller than the
existing restaurant building upon final installation.
This grain silo is necessary to store the grain necessary to produce hand-made beers
on the site in a safe and healthy manner.

DEPOSIT OF CHECK FOR NOTICING FEES
Attached is a check for a deposit related to noticing fees for a project in the Village
Redevelopment Area. This project was handled a little differently than normal. So, our
office received the deposit rather than the Planning Department. Would you please
deposit this check into an account within the Redevelopment Budget? We want to
pay for the noticing costs related to permitting a grain silo for the Carlsbad Brewery
and Public House with these funds. Any funds not required for noticing costs will be
returned to the applicant - Carlsbad Brewery and Public House. I was thinking that we
could use our regular accounts for paying bills related to the noticing and then
transfer appropriate funds from this deposit to our redevelopment accounts. We could
then simply refund the remainder to the applicant upon completion of the public
hearing process. But, I will handle it anyway you tell me to, just let me know what
accounts I should be using!
