Project Description: installation of a Personal Communication Services (PCS)
wireless communication facility, consisting of six (6) panel antennas and one (1)
radio equipment cabinet (BTS Unit). The panel antennas are to be facade mounted
on the exterior of the existing building (Carlsbad Inn) and the BTS unit is to be
located on the rooftop, behind existing parapet, completely screened from view.

1. Please describe the project site, including distinguishing natural and
manmade characteristics. Also provide precise slope analysis when a slope
of 15' or higher and 15% grade or greater is present on the site.
The project site is fully developed with a hotel, and associated uses.
2. Please describe energy conservation measures incorporated into the design
and/or operation of the project. The wireless communication facility
uses very low power, and therefore no energy conservation measures are
necessary.
3. PLEASE AHACH A PROJECT SUMMARY SHEET WHICH SHOWS THE FOLLOWING:
a. If a residential project identify the number of units, type of units,
schedule of unit sizes, range of sale prices or rents, and type of
household size expected, average daily traffic generation (latest SANDAG

The wireless communication facility will occupy approximately
30 square feet of roof top area and will create the need for a
maximum of one average daily trip (ADT) per month. No parking
or loading facilities will be necessary to serve the proposed project.

The proposed is part of a series of projects in a wireless communications
network currently being established by Pacific Bell Mobiles Services (PBMS)
throughout the State of California. No significant cumulative environmental
effects will result from said projects.
