working days following Coastal Commission receipt of this notice. Applicants will be notified by
the Coastal Commission as to the date the Coastal Commission's appeal period will conclude.
Appeals must be made in writing to the Coastal Commission's district office at the following
address: Califomia Coastal Commission, 3111 Camino Del Rio North, Suite 200, San Diego,
Califomia 92108-1725, Telephone (619) 521-8036.
The time within which judicial review of this decision must be sought is governed by Code of Civil Procedures,
Section 1094.6, which has been made applicable in the City of Carlsbad by Carlsbad Municipal Code Chapter
16. Any petition or other paper seeking judicial review must be filed in the appropriate court not later than
ninety (90) days following the date on which this decision becomes final; however, if within ten (10) days after
the decision becomes final a request for the record of the proceedings accompanied by the required deposit in
an amount sufficient to cover the estimated cost of preparation of such a record, the time within which such
petition may be filed in court is extended to not later than thirty (30) days following the date on which the
record is either personally delivered or mailed to the party, or his attorney of record, if he has one. A written
request for the preparation of the record of the proceedings shall be filed with the City Clerk, City of
Carlsbad, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, Califorma 92008.

DATE OF DECISION/NOTICE: NOVEMBER 14,1997
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that after considering all comments received, the
Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad has APPROVED an
Administrative Redevelopment Permit (ARP97-05) for an addition to a single family
home addition at 2714 Madison Street. Under the proposal, there w^ill be the addition of
approximately 350 square feet of living area and 800 square feet of garage and storage
area.
The home is located on the easterly side of Madison Street, approximately 200 feet
northerly of Arbuckle Place. The subject permit shall serve as the required Coastal
Development Permit as w^ell as the required Administrative Redevelopment Permit.
If you w^ish to appeal the decision of the Housing & Redevelopment Director on this
matter to the Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing &
Redevelopment Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the
decision/notice. Appeal forms are available at the Housing and Redevelopment
Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008. If you have
