Description/Explanation. TownePlace Suites is a new extended stay hotel concept created by the Marriott Corporation. Marriott will manage the project once construction is completed. The project consists of 106 hotel .suites, each containing a full kitchen facility. There will be 69 studio units, 4 one bedroom suites, and 33 two bedroom suites. The project will include a swimming pool. The hotel suites will be contained in two 3-story buildings with the required 128 parking spaces including 7 handicapped parking stalls. The zoning and particular use for the site was approved by Carlsbad City Ordinance #'s 9313 and 9314.
