A letter stating this information was hand delivered on this date and a copy is attached. Please be aware that this means your business is not authorized to display a sidewalk sign. If you would like to display a sidewalk sign, you must obtain a new permit from the Housing and Redevelopment Department. I have enclosed an application for your use. Please note that a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1 million, naming the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency as additional insured, is required as part of the application. The enclosed application also includes "Location and Development Criteria", which further explains the regulations pertaining to a sidewalk sign. Please note that the sign may not be displayed within the public right-of-way until you have obtained the required permit. Please either submit the application or remove the sign within ten (10) days from the referenced date ofthis letter. As a courtesy to you, I am sending this letter before it becomes a code enforcement issue. If you need further information or assistance, please contact my office at (760) 434-2810 ext 5017.
