NOTICE OF INTENDED ACTION

DATE OF NOTICE: NOVEMBER 4,1997
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director ofthe
City of Carlsbad intends to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit
(ARP97-08) for the location of an aerobics studio in an existing commercial center
located at 2937 Carlsbad Boulevard. Under the proposal, there will be an approximately
1030 square foot aerobics studio.
The project is located on the westerly side of Carlsbad Boulevard, approximately 200 feet
northerly of Carlsbad Village Drive. The subject permit shall serve as the required
Coastal Development Permit as well as the required Administrative Redevelopment
Permit.
Those persons wishing to speak on the proposed project and intended action by the
Housing & Redevelopment Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or
contact the Housing & Redevelopment Department by 5:00pm on Thursday, November
13, 1997. If you have comments of the proposed project and intended action, please
contact Craig Ruiz in the Housing and Redevelopment Department at (619) 434-2817 or
434-2811. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and
Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the Planning Department has determined that
the project is exempt from environmental review. Appropriate documentation for the
"exemption" will be filed by the City of Carlsbad's Planning Department.

DATE OF DECISION/NOTICE: NOVEMBER 17,1997
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that after considering all comments received, the
Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad has APPROVED an
Administrative Redevelopment Permit (ARP97-08) for the location of an aerobics studio
in an existing commercial center located at 2937 Carlsbad Boulevard. Under the
proposal, there will be an approximately 1030 square foot aerobics studio.

If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing & Redevelopment Director on this
matter to the Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing &
Redevelopment Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the
decision/notice. Appeal forms are available at the Housing and Redevelopment
Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008. If you have
