An ongoing requirement of the pemiit is that you maintain a valid certificate of insurance for the items within the public right-of-way naming the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency as additional insured. The certificate of insurance on file expires on June 16, 2002. Therefore, the A-Frame Sign must be removed from the public right-of-way once the certificate of insurance expires. If proof of current insurance coverage has not been received or if the items have not been removed from the public right-of-wav within 10 business davs of the date ofthe certificate of insurance expiration, the items mav be summarilv removed without further notice from the Citv and disposed of as surplus propertv. Your application has been approved. Attached is a copy of the approved SidewaUc Sign Permit for your records. The attached permit allows you to retain your sign for, I) as long as the Housing and Redevelopment Commission allows sidewalk signs to remain, 2) as long as the sign continues to meet the standards outlined within the Carlsbad Village Master Plan and Design Manual, and 3) as long as the sign is consistent with this permit approval. It is important to note that the Housing and Redevelopment Commission wdll complete an annual review of the sidewalk sign regulations to determine their continued applicability. Staff has reviewed your application and the following information needs to be submitted to the Redevelopment Agency in order for staff to complete its review: I. Please provide an original copy of the Certificate of Insurance naming the "City of Carlsbad" and the "Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency" as additionally insured in the amount of $1 million.
