Our records indicate that you were issued Permit #97-29 for an A-Frame Sign that is located in the public right-of-way. In accordance with the permit, the A-Frame Sign must be located directiv in front of vour place of business. Recently, staff observed that your sign was displayed at the comer of Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard. The sign must be removed and placed in the appropriate place immediately. If the item is displayed inappropriately again. City Code Enforcement Officers may confiscate it at any time without prior notice and your permit may be revoked. The most recent certificate of insurance on file expires or expired on (no certificate on file). If the certificate of insurance on file has not yet expired, please ask your insurance provider to ensure that a new certificate is sent to us upon renewal. If there is no certificate of insurance on file or if it has expired, please submit a cunent certificate of insurance within ten davs (10). Attached is a copy ofthe approved Sidewalk Sign Permit for your records. The attached permit allows you to retain your sign for, 1) as long as the Housing and Redevelopment Commission allows sidewalk signs to remain, 2) as long as the sign continues to meet the standards outiined within the Carlsbad Village Master Plan and Design Manual, and 3) as long as the sign is consistent with this permit approval. It is important to note that the Housing and Redevelopment Commission will complete an annual review of the sidewalk sign regulations to determine their continued applicability. In reviewing the site plan submitted with your application, the Sidewalk Sign for your business is located in front of an adjacent business. The Carlsbad Village Master Plan requires that all Sidewalk Signs be placed directly in front of the conisponding business. Thus, in order for application to be approved, you will need to relocate your sign and revise your site plan accordingly.
