PERRIGO THE VILLAGE GRILLE 3554 CAMINITO EL RINCON #59 SAN DIEGO, CA. 92130 RE: OUTDOOR TABLES AND CHAIRS, RP 98-04 Dear Mr. Perrigo: Thank you for submitting your application for an administrative redevelopment permit to allow outdoor tables and chairs within the public right-of-way as related to your eating establishment located at 2833 State Street. The permit application and related plans you submitted on May 19, 1998 have been reviewed by the Departments of Planning, Engineering and Redevelopment. The application has been deemed complete for further processing. However, additional information is required before your application may be approved. First, an original Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1 million, naming the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency as additionally insured, must be submitted to the Housing and Redevelopment Department as part of the application package. Second, the following supplemental information is required before we can formally approve the permit for the outdoor tables and chairs: y* Please provide photographs of the tables and chairs you intend to use, with a description of the materials and colors of those items. ^ • If you will use umbrellas with your outdoor tables, additional information is required on the umbrellas to determine whether or not they meet the requirements. Please provide information on the height and diameter of the umbrellas when fully extended. Also, please indicate the diameter of the umbrella on the site plan itself. If the umbrella, when open, extends past the tables, we need to determine whether or not this interferes with the pedestrian traffic. Therefore, it is important that you provide this information visually on the plans. In addition, please provide information on the umbrella materials (e.g. fabric with plastic base and pole) and color(s). This information needs to be provided directly on the site plan, if applicable. A set of your plans have been retumed to you with this correspondence. 2965 Roosevelt St., Ste.
