NOTICE OF FINAL ACTION
ADDITION OF SIDEWALK CAFE TO EXISTING RESTAURANT
2943 STATE STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: September 21, 1999
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad has
made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 99-10) for installation of
an enclosure and tables and chairs for a Sidewalk Caf6 Vigilucci's Cucina Italiana Restaurant, 2943 State
Street, which is located on west side of State Street between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue.
The assessor parcel number is 203-293-08. The Housing and Redevelopment Director has determined
that the proposed project does meet all applicable development standards and is consistent with the
Village Master Plan and Design Manual.
The applicant for the administrative redevelopment permit is Roberto Vigilucci (restaurant owner).
The permit will allow for installation of a 36" tall wrought iron fence across the front of the building
(facing State Street). The enclosure will provide for a defined location for the tables and chairs and also
allow for a clear pedestrian area of at least 5 feet. This permit allows the applicant to provide a total of
73 seats inside the subject restaurant and a maximum of 10 tables and 20 seats outside the subject
restaurant, within the identified sidewalk area.
If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director on this matter to the
Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Redevelopment Department
within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal must be submitted
no later than 5:00pm on October 1, 1999. Appeal forms are available at the Housing and Redevelopment
Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B. If you have any questions regarding this permit,
please contact Lori Rosenstein in the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 434-2813 or 434-2810.
NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the Planning Department has determined that the project is exempt
from environmental review. Appropriate documentation for the "exemption" will be filed by the City of
Carlsbad Planning Department.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad intends
to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 99-10) for the installation of an enclosure and
tables and chairs for a Sidewalk Cafe at Vigilucci's Cucina Italiana Restaurant, 2943 State Street, which
is located on the west side of State Street between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue. The
