The Planning Division has completed a review of your application for a Site Development Plan extension and
Minor Conditional Use Permit extension, SDP 12-03x1/MCUP 14-06 (formerly DC 12-01}, located at 7150
Rancho Santa Fe Road on 4.9 acres of land. The project was approved on June 6, 2012 and was due to expire
on June 5, 2014. After careful consideration· of the circumstances surrounding this request, it has been
determined that (1} The permit or approval remains consistent with the general plan, all titles of this code and
growth management program policies and standards in place at the time the extension is considered; (2}
Circumstances have not substantially changed since the permit or approval was originally granted; therefore,
the City Planner APPROVES Site Development Plan extension and Minor Conditional Use Permit extension
Nos. SDP.12-03x1/MCUP 14-06 for 2 years (from June 6, 2014 to June 5, 2016}, based on the following findings
and conditions.
Findings:
1. That the permits remain consistent with the general plan, all titles of this code and growth
management program policies and standards in place at this time.
2. That circumstances have not substantially changed since the permit or approval was originally granted.
Conditions:
1. All of the findings and conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 6887 dated June
6, 2012 for SDP 12-03 and administrative approval letter dated June 8, 2012 for DC 12-01 apply to
this extension and are incorporated herein by reference and remain in effect except for Planning
Condition No. 12 of Planning Commission Resolution No. 6887 which is superseded by Condition'No.
2 of this approval letter.
2. This approval shall become null and void if building permits are not issued for this project by June 5,
2016 unless extended pursuant to Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 21.58.040.
