SUBJECT: SDU 01-08 - MAGNOLIA SUBDIVISION
Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning
Department has reviewed your Second Dwelling Unit Permit, application no. SDU 01-08,
as to its completeness for processing.
The application is complete, as submitted. Although the initial processing of your
application may have already begun, the technical acceptance date is acknowledged by the
date of this communication. The City may, in the course of processing the application,
request that you clarify, amplify, correct, or otherwise, supplement the basic information
required for the application. In addition, you should also be aware that various design
issues may exist. These issues must be addressed before this application can be
scheduled for a hearing. The Planning Department will begin processing your application
as of the date of this communication.

1. On the site plan:
a. Show the sewer lateral off the main. Avoid placing the driveways over this
lateral.
b. Show the driveway within the sewer easement. Does this driveway exist or
is it proposed? Please clarify.
c. Recheck the location of the water line. According to the improvement plans
on file with the City (DWG 380-3), the water line is not to be aligned as
shown.
d. Is the concrete swale located in the easement existing or proposed?
e. Provide grading quantities. If no grading is proposed, then indicate so with a
note.
2. Show lot drainage patterns. Indicate percent slope of drainage.
