RE: PUBLIC NOTICING FOR SECOND UNITS IN VILLAGES J, AND Q-1 Dear-: This lettei acknowledges that Continental Homes is aware of the fact that they signed and submitted applications for Second Unit Permits on Lots 6,23,28,43,53, & 61 of Viage J and lots 6, 12,44,53, 72 & 77 of Vdlage Q. We have been told that all issues are resolved and the permits for the second units are ready to be issued after adjacent property owners have been notified per the requirements of Section 21.10.015 (c)(2)(B) of the Carlsbad Municipal Code. . We realize that Section 21; 10.015 (c)(2)(B) requires a written notice be plailed or delivered to all property owners within 300 feet of the subject property as .shown by the latest equalized assessment role at least 15 days prior to a decision on an application. However, as stated at our meeting on August 12th and in our letter of August 6th (attached), the only property owners within 300 feet of the subject properties are Continental Homes and the City of Carisbad. By submitting this letter we waive our right to be noticed, since we are the property oher mieiving the notice. Hopefully, this letter would allow for this second permits to be issued immediately rather than waiting an additional 15 days. We are looking forward to hearing fiom you as soon as possiile on this issue.
