The Planning Department has reviewed your application for a Second Dwelling Unit (SDU), application no. SDU 98-25, as to its completeness for processing. The application is complete, as submitted. Although the initial processing of your application may have already begun, the technical acceptance date is acknowledged by the date of this communication. The City may, in the course of processing the application, request that you clarify, amplify, correct, or otherwise, supplement the basic information required for the application. In addition, you should also be aware that various design issues may exist (see attached). These issues must be addressed before this application can be scheduled for a hearing. The Planning Department will begin processing your application as of the date of this communication. SDU 98-25 Planning: 1. Please label the floorplans and elevations with the appropriate scale. 2. Please label the plans with the name of the architectural style and explain how it is compatible with the Rancho Carrillo Park architecture (required for Lot 6 and 101 only). 3. Please include on the plans a summary table as described in the Application Requirements for Second Dwelling Unit checklist. The table should include lot area, existing zone and land use, number of parking spaces and total building coverage in addition to building square footage information. Also include school, sewer, and water districts. 4. Please provide an 8.5” by 11” location map. 5. Please be advised that the remainder of the architecture for this village will be required to show compliance with the Villages M, Q, and R design guidelines for Rancho Carrillo. The number of units included in this submittal is insufficient to comment on or determine compliance with all of the design guidelines.
