ADDiTION OF SIDEWALK CAFE TO EXiSTING RESTAURANT
2907 STATE STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.

NOTiCE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad has
made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (S-RP 97-01) for installation
of an enclosure and tables and chairs for a Sidewalk Cafe at the Caldo Pomodoro Restaurant, 2907 State
Street, which is located on southwest corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. The assessor parcel
number is 203-293-01. The Housing and Redevelopment Director has determined that the proposed
project does meet all applicable development standards and is consistent with the Village Master Plan and
Design Manual.
The applicant for the administrative redevelopment permit is Gina and Fran Branciforte (restaurant owner)
and Tom Betz (property owner).
The permit will allow for installation of a 43" tall wrought iron fence across the front of the building
(facing State Street) and the north side of the building (facing Grand Avenue). The enclosure will provide
for a defined location for the tables and chairs and also allow for a clear pedestrian area of at least 5 feet.
This permit allows the applicant to provide a total of 19 tables and 42 seats inside the subject restaurant
and a maximum of 11 tables and 22 seats outside the subject restaurant, within the identified sidewalk
area.
If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director on this matter to the
Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Redevelopment Department
within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal must be submitted
no later than 5:00pm on December 8, 1997. Appeal forms are available at the Housing and
Redevelopment Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B. If you have any questions
