BOX 1863 CARLSBAD, CA. 92018-1863 RE: A-FRAME SIGN FOR BUSBVESS (ROSEBORO HOUSE) LOCATED AT 2971 STATE STREET Dear Mr. Hurwitz: Thank you for your application for a permit for an A-Frame Sign at your business located at 2971 State Street. As I discussed with Barbara Hurwitz several weeks ago and as indicated in the application, your current A-Frame Sign does not meet the size standards set forth by the City Council. The sign exceeds the height limit by one (1) foot. Although the sign does not meet the standards, we are willing to allow your continued use of the sign until January 1, 1995 if it is located immediately adjacent to your building. It should not be placed at or near the curb or in the sidewalk area. We would like to make sure that the sign does not create an obstruction due to its height. If you would like to place an A-Frame sign at or near the sidewalk curb, then you will be required to reduce the size of your A-Frame to meet the standards; this would require you to reduce the height by one (1) foot. As stated above, your application for an A-Frame Sign has been conditionally approved. Attached is a copy of your approved application for your records. If you have any questions and/or comments regarding this correspondence or your sign, please contact me after December 27, 1993 at 434-2935.
