Dear Adam,
Enclosed is a letter of Transmittal and proposed "AS Built" changes to approved
grading plans for "Von Packard" This property is within the Agua
Hedionda segment on Carlsbad's LCP. The Site has an approved Coastal Development
Permit (CDP). The proposed "AS Built" changes are inconsistent with the City's Hillside Development (HDP) Permit for the site. No subsequent Land Use approval or clearance for the site will be granted until compliance with the HDP is attained.
PE:2.87.27.
We are concerned that the "As Built" changes to the approved Grading Plan are also in violation of the CDP. Can you please review this submittal and determine if the "as built" is in compliance with the CDP? If not what actions must the applicant take to achieve compliance?
Charles Kubli of our Engineering Department is preparing a Grading Violation on the site. Consequently, we would appreciate it if you could contact us as soon as possible as to the Coastal Development Permit for the Site. In the interim,
the applicant is being required to stabilize the site from erosion.
