This is in violation of the City of Carlsbad Grading Ordinance. In accordance with Section 11.06.230 subsection (b) the City Engineer has elected to file a notice of grading violation against the property with the County Recorders office (copy attached). This notice shall remain in effect until such time as the City Engineer determines that the violation no longer exists. You are advised to contact myself or a member of my staff as to the remedy for your particular case. Failure to remedy the violation may result in the declaration of your property to be a public nuisance pursuant to City code and result in a proceeding for abatement and/or misdemeanor violation.
