Box 4517 Carlsbad, CA 92008 SUBJECT: HDP 87-7/P.E. 2.87.27 Thank you for your letter of March 30, 1989. We look forward to receiving and reviewing the information you discussed in your letter. We also look forward to seeing how the new lot configuration differs from your approved Hillside Development Permit with respect to house pad, slopes, screening landscaping and house placement . With the information we presently have, it appears likely that we will be unable to grant your request for modification of the Hillside Development Permit. However, as we discussed in the field, we will evaluate any information you would like to present to us to make that determination. As we discussed out in the field, at this time it appears likely that the Planning Commission will have to make the determination as to the acceptability of the proposed modifications to your Hillside Development Permit. This is necessitated in part due to the series of plan revisions you have implemented or requested. Staff has accommodated most all the changes you requested. Determination of the Planning Commission will add final clarity to your hillside issues. In making the final determination on your Hillside Development Permit staff will coordinate with Coastal Commission staff. Through this coordination we will assure that your Hillside Development Permit is consistent with the Coastal Commi ssion Coastal Development Permit for your project. Please let me know when you have all the information to present your case to the Commission. We will compile that information, write a brief information staff report to the Commission and let you know when that public hearing is.
