TELEPHONE: (714) 729-1181 QCitp at Cartbab November 29, 1976 TO: PROPERTY OWNERS The City of Carlsbad Planning Commission intends to conduct a public hearing on December 8, 1976 to consider rezoning property generally located east of 1-5 on both sides of Elm Avenue between Knowles and Oak shown as Professional and Governmental on the adopted Land Use Element of the General Plan. The existing zoning is R-1-7500 allowing single family dwellings with a minimum lot size of 7500 square feet. The proposed zone is Residential/Professional (R-P-Q). The R-P-Q zoning would bring the zoning for the block into conformance with the General Plan. It is the City of Carlsbad's policy to evaluate areas surrounding zone change requests for consistency with the General Plan. There has been a request by a property owner for a zone change from R-1-7500 to R-P-Q on a portion of the subject area. This request will also be heard at the Planning Commission hearing on December 8, 1976 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber.
