Re: Schedule of Introductions for the 2019 TGIF Concerts in the Parks
We hope you will join us in celebrating another great year of TGIF Concerts in the Parks. This
marks the 34th season of the concerts which should offer our community some memorable
summer evenings, enjoying terrific music and the company of friends and neighbors.
We want to invite City Council members to join us on a Friday evening during the summer, to
welcome the audience and introduce the evening's band. Concerts start at 6 p.m. A parking
spot will be reserved and information about the bands will be provided ahead of time. All City
Council members, the city manager and deputy city managers will receive parking passes for
the season.
As in the past, we will coordinate the logistics for introduction of the bands through Andrea
Dykes, Secretary to the City Council. City Council members will receive a copy of the TGIF
Concerts in the Parks informational postcard upon release. We have four parks in the lineup
this year with ten bands at nine concerts. This season will also feature pre-show entertainment
at each concert.
At the request of the Parks & Recreation Department, the gates to the ball fields will open to
the public at 4 p.m. This ensures safety in the morning while we are setting up the stage and
sound equipment, and protects the grass which can be damaged under blankets sitting in the
sun.

July 12-Poinsettia Community Park
July 19 -Poinsettia Community Park
