It has come to our attention that a member of the public is seeking to designate Encina' s stack as an historic site or landmark pursuant to applicable provisions of the City's ordinances, including Chapters 2.42, 22.02, of 22.06 of the City's Municipal Code. We note that Section 22.06.030.E of the City's Municipal Code states that a site shall not be designated an historic site or landmark without the property owner's consent to the proposed designation. By this letter, Cabrillo expresses its opposition to the designation of the Encina stack as an historic site or landmark.
