This memo focuses on actions and information that are new since the last update. Emergency Operations Center • Emergency Operations Center activated to support COVID-19 mitigation and response operations and information sharing. • CERT delivered 200 Sew2Care face coverings to Rancho Carlsbad • Completed CERT 2020 Academy classroom instruction via Zoom for 23 volunteers. Human Resources • Status of employees with possible COVID-19 exposure: Cleared to return to work 40 Self-quarantined due to symptoms, have not been tested 0 Police Department • Issued 6 new citations over the past day for violations of the CMC section for accessing closed parks, beaches and trails. CORONAVIRUS ACTIONS April 28, 2020 Page 2 • Completed weekly data analysis for the week of 4/20/20 – 4/26/20. o Increase in transient-related calls for service overall and COVID-19 transient calls. o Increase in party calls, family disputes, landlord/tenant/roommate disputes, and drunk in public arrests. o Highest number of vehicle burglaries in several months. o Decrease in 5150 calls and transports.
