NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election Is to be held In the City of Carlsbad on July 28, 19 59, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said city the following city measures: PROPOSITION S - SEWER BONDS: Shall the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $1,200,000 for the acquisition and con- struction by said city of a certain munici- pal improvement, to wit: additions to the sanitary sewage collection, treatment and disposal system of said city, including interceptor and trunk sewers, ocean outfall sewer, pumping stations, new sewage treat- ment plants, additions to the existing treatment plant, and for the foregoing appurtenances and works appurtenant thereto, including the acquisition of all land, ease- ments, rights of way, pipe, pumps, machinery and other property necessary therefor? PROPOSITION D - STORM DRAIN BONDS: Shall the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $155*000 for the acquisition and construction by said city of a certain municipal improve- ment, to wit: storm drains with appurtenances and appurtenant work, including the acquisi- tion of land, easements, rights of way, apparatus, equipment and other property necessary therefor? Rev.3-58 - 150c NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California the legislative body of said city, or any member or members thereof authorized by such body, or any individual voter or bona fide association of citizens, or any combination of such voters and associations, may file written arguments, not to exceed 300 words in length, for or against each said city measure. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, based upon the time reasonably necessary to prepare and print the arguments and sample ballots for said election, the City Clerk has fixed StQQ o'clock E_,.M., on June 30 __, 19 59 , as a reasonable date prior to such election after which no argu- ments for or against said city measures may be submitted to said Clerk for printing and distribution to the voters as provided in said Article 4. Arguments shall be submitted to the City Clerk at 2960 Pio Pico Drive, Carlsbad. California . Arguments may be changed until and including said date fixed by the City Clerk. PROPOSITION W - WATER REVENUE BONDS: Shall the City of Carlsbad issue water revenue bonds in the principal sum of $300,000 for the acquisition, construction and financing of extensions, enlarge- ments and improvements of the water system of said city, in-• eluding works and facilities for the storage, transmission and distribution of water, the recon- struction of parts of said sys- tem, and the acquisition of land, easements, rights of way and other property necessary there- for, and including all engineer- ing, inspection and legal fees, costs of the issuance of said revenue bonds, bond reserve funds, and other costs and ex- penses incidental to or connect- ed with such acquisition, con-vstruction and financing? PROPOSITION R - SEWER FUND ORDINANCE: Shall the ordinance, the nature of which is stated in the title thereof, to wit: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIF- ORNIA, RELATING TO THE SEWER FUND AND THE PER- MISSIBLE USES THEREOF, BE ADOPTED?
