WHICH NO ARGUMENTS FOR OR AGAINST
A CITY MEASURE MAY BE SUBMITTED
TO THE CITY CLERK.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election is to
be held in the City of Carlsbad on November 5, 1968,
at which there will be submitted to the qualified
electors of said city the following city measure:
WATER REVENUE BOND PROPOSITION: Shall
the City of Carlsbad issue water revenue
bonds in the principal sum of $1,800,000
for the acquisition, construction and
financing of extensions, enlargements and
improvements of the water system of said
city, including works and facilities for
the storage, transmission and distribution
of water, the reconstruction of parts of
said system, and the acquisition of land,
easements, rights of way and other pro-
perty necessary therefor, and including
all engineering, inspection and legal
fees, costs of the issuance of said reve-
nue bonds, bond reserve funds, and other
costs and expenses incidental to or con-
nected with such acquisition, construction
and financing?
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to Article 4,
Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of
California the legislative body of said city, or any member
or members thereof authorized by such body, or any individual
voter or bona fide association of citizens, or any combina-
tion of such voters and associations, may file a written
argument, not to exceed 300 words in length, for or against
a city measure.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, based upon the time
reasonably necessary to prepare and print the arguments and
sample ballots for said election, the City Clerk has fixed
5:00 o'clock P.M. on September 16, 1968, as a reasonable date
prior to such election after which no arguments for or against
the city measure may be submitted to said Clerk for printing
and distribution to the voters as provided in said Article 4.
Arguments shall be submitted to the City Clerk at the office
of the City Clerk in the City Hall in said city. Arguments
may be changed until and including said date fixed by the
City Clerk.
ABOVE NOTICE GIVEN by me this 22nd day of
August , 19 68 .
