4 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the General Municipal Election is
to be held in the City of Carlsbad on March 5, 1974, at which there
will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City the
following City measure:
8 COMMUNITY SWIMMING POOL PROPOSITION:
Shall the City Council of the City
9 of Carlsbad, California, view with
favor a proposal that the City
10 proceed with the construction and
financing of a community swimming
11 pool at a cost estimated not to
exceed $500,000.00?

13 NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 3,
14 Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California, the
15 legislative body of said City, or any member of members thereof
16 authorized by such body, or any individual voter or bona fide
association of citizens, or any combination of such voters and
18 associations, may file a written argument, not to exceed 300 words
in length, for or against said City measure.
20 NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, based upon the time reasonably
necessary to prepare and print the arguments and sample ballots for
22 said election, the City Clerk has fixed January 8, 1974, as a
23 reasonable date prior to such election after which no arguments
for or against said City measure may be submitted to her for print-
ing and distribution to the voters as provided in said Article 4.
26 Arguments shall be submitted to the City Clerk at the City Hall,
27 1200 Elm Avenue, Carlsbad, California. Arguments may be changed
28 until and including said date fixed by the City Clerk.
