NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Special Municipal Election is to be held in
the City of Carlsbad on November 4, 1980, at which there will be submitted to the qua-
lified electors of said City the following measure:
PROPOSITION 1. Do the qualified electors of the City of
Carlsbad, pursuant to Article XXXIV of the Constitution
of the State of California, approve the development,
construction, and acquisition of low rent housing projects
by the City of Carlsbad, or other City-designated public
agency, not to exceed 250 total units on scattered sites
throughout the City to provide living accommodations for
low income senior citizens?
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5,
of the Elections Code of the State of California, the legislative body of said City,
or any member or members thereof authorized by such body, or any individual voter
or bona fide association of citizens, or any combination of such voters and associations,
may file a written argument, not to exceed 300 words in length, for or against said
City measure.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, based upon the time reasonably necessary to
prepare and print the arguments and sample ballots for said election, the City Clerk
has fixed August 30, 1980 as a reasonable date prior to such election after which no
arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted to her for printing and
distribution to the voters as provided in said Article 4. Arguments shall be sub-
mitted to the City Clerk at the City Hall, Carlsbad, California. Arguments may be
changed or withdrawn until and including said date fixed by the City Clerk.

la Ciudad de Carlsbad el dia 4 de noviembre de 1980, en la que serK sometido a los
electores calificados de susodicha Ciudad el siguiente Proyecto Municipal):
1. ^Aprueban los electores calificados de
la Ciudad de Carlsbad, de acuerdo con el Artfculo XXXIV
de la Constituci'on del Estado de California, el desarrollo,
la construccion, y la adquisicion de viviendas de alquiler
bajo por la Ciudad de Carlsbad, o otra agencia publica,
designado por la Ciudad, sin exceder de 250 unidades total es
en sitios esparcidos por todas partes de la Ciudad para
proporcionar viviendas para personas mayores de ingresos
bajos?
(NOTICIA ADEMAS SE DA que de acuerdo con el Artfculo 4, Capvtulo 3, Division 5,
del Codigo de Elecciones del Estado de California, el cuerpo legislative de dicha
Ciudad o cualquier socio de socios de eso autorizados por dicho cuerpo, o cualquier
votante individual o bona fide asoci'acioVi de ciudadanos, o cualquier combinaci'o'n de
tales votantes y asociaciones, puede registrar un argumento escrito, que no ex-
cedera 300 palabras de largura, pro o contra dicho proyecto municipal.)
ADEMAS SE DA aue, basada sobre el tiempo razonablemente necesario
para preparar e imprimir los argumentos y las balotas muestra para dicha eleccitfn,
el Secretario Municipal ha fijado el dfa 30 de agosto de 1980, como una fecha razonable
