NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held
in the City of Carlsbad on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, for the following
Officers:
For two (2) Members of the City Council Full terms of four (4) years
The nomination period for these offices begins on July 14, 2008 and closes
on August 8, 2008.
If nomination papers for an incumbent member of the City Council are not
filed by August 8, 2008, the filing period shall be extended for that office to
5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2008 for candidates, other than the incumbent, to
file.
If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office,
appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section
10229, of the Elections Code of the State of California.
The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

agosto de 2008 para que se presenten otros candidates, que no sean el
titular.
Si ninguna o solo una persona es nominada para un cargo elective, el
nombramiento a dicho cargo se hara conforme lo prescrito en la Section
10229, del Codigo Electoral del Estado de California.
