A los empleados de seguridad contratados el 4 de octubre
de 2010 o posteriormente (la fecha efoctiva de la
ordenanza que enmienda el Contrato de ;a Ciudad con
CalPERS para crear un segundo nivei de beneficios de
jubilacion para empleados de seguridad) no se les
aumeniara la formula del beneficio de jubilacion
(comunmente conocida como la formula del 2% a los 50
afios de edad) sin una enmienda a esta seccion. El
Concejo de la Ciudad puede reducir esta formula segun
lo establece la ley estatal sin una enmienda de estaseccion.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held in the
City of Carlsbad on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, for the following Measure:
Shall the Charter of Carlsbad, California be amended to
add Section 502 Retention of Benefits limiting increases in safety
retirement benefits without an amendment to this section?
Text:
Section 502 Retention of Benefits.
Safety employees hired on or after October 4, 2010 (the effective date of
the ordinance amending the City's Contract with CalPERS to create a
second tier of retirement benefits for safety employees) shall not have
their retirement benefit formula (commonly known as the 2% at 50 years
of age formula) increased without an amendment to this section. The
City Council may reduce this formula as provided in state law without an
amendment to this section.

2010 se llevara a cabo una Eleccion Municipal General en la Ciudad de
Carlsbad, para la siguiente Iniciativa de Ley:
