At present, the project site is an existing house that was graded in connection with the development of the Terrarnar Tract, Map No. 2696. Existing on-site drainage flows in graded dirt swales (or sheet flows) in a general southwesterly direction to the existing street (Shore Drive). The proposed site drainage will be divided into two main sub-areas in which the drainage system for each area will consist of a series of drain inlets, downspouts, retaining wall subdrains, and drain lines. Each sub-area site drainage run-off will be collected in these inlets and pipes and conveyed through these drain lines and outlet onto Shore Drive through a curb drain. A separate sub area, Sub-Area "C" will drain to a sump pump. The purpose of this sump pump will be to collect surface drainage from the two exposed driveways to the garage and any nuisance water within the enclosed garage (for sump pump details and specifications see page 13 herein ... the full size sheet of the sump pump details and specifications are on the grading plan). The sump pump will discharge drainage with an outlet pipe outletting onto rip rap in the sideyard and then surface flowing to the site area drain system and then gravity flow within the system to the curb drain outlet. Both Sub-Areas "A" and "B" have tabled in portions of the lots behind this property to accept any run-off that may occur since the existing conditions show portions of these lots as falling towards the rear property line of this lot. To accept any such run- off, openings in the proposed wall are to be provided (see the attached Hydrology Map). The proposed post-construction drainage design will capture run-off from a 100-year storm. Refer to the attached calculation sheet and hydrology map showing our drainage system having sufficient capacity to convey a 100 year storm. These maps are included in the County Hydrology Manual (10, 50, and 100 yr maps included in the Design and Procedure Manual). (2) Adjust 6 hr precipitation (if necessary) so that it is within the range of 45% to 65% of the 24 hr precipitation (not applicaple to Desert). (3) Plot 6 hr precipitation on the right side of the chart. (4) Draw a line through the point parallel lo the plotted lines. (5) This line is the intensity-duration curve for the location being analyzed.
