Response to City Comments
Proposed Granny Flat Site

Dear Mr. Minicilli :
The following is in response to City comments :
1. Provide geologic cross section, including existing geologic conditions, proposed
development and limits of grading, cut/fill, benchlkeyways, if needed.
See attached Figure Nos. 2 and 3.
2. Based on plans, it appears that over 11 feet of cut is required fo establish
proposed fflpad. Provide recommendations on whether shoring or other
temporary support system is required.
The temporary cut may be safely excavated vertically up to a height of S feet.
Above a height of S feet, the cut should be flattened to a slope ratio of l : I
(horizontal : vertical) or flatter.

3. Provide recommendation on cut/fill transition
The proposed residence wilJ be founded entirely in the cut area of the building
pad. No remedial grading wilJ be necessary. ----------·
