Based on the project plans (reference # 3), Fisherman Drive is a local street connecting to
Poinsettia Lane. Based on the City requirement (reference #4), the traffic index (TI) for •
local streets is 5.0. The pavement section (per reference #4) for local streets having R_
values of 23, and 25 is 4 inch AC over 5-inch AB
/
We recommend a section of 4 inch AC over 6-inch class II base for Fisherman Drive
Prior to the placement of the class II aggregate Base material, the upper 12 inches of sub-
grade soils in the street (including curb and gutter), shall be scanfied, moisture
conditioned (wetted or dried) as necessary to at least 2 percent over optimum moisture
content and compacted to a minimum 95 percent relative compaction based on ASTM D
1557
The Class II aggregate base shall then be placed and compacted to a minimum 95 percent
relative compaction in accordance with ASTM Test Method D 1557 The aggregate base
material shall be a minimum of 6 inch thick below curb and gutter and extend a minimum
of 6 inch behind the back of curb

Note the City requirement, "All aggregate base materials shall he Class II per Cal-Trans
Section 26-1.02B or CMB per section 200-2.4, SSPWC."
All aggregate product will need current testing results of the product for approval prior to
beginning any import operation. In addition, the imported product will require field check
by our personnel during import operations to verify uniformity of the product quality.
