The grading observations and testing summarized herein were limited to the - reconfigured golf course areas just west of the new adult pool complex and specifically along the new emergency access roadway. Compaction testing was performed from June 28, 2011 to July 28, 2011. Testing indicates that a - minimum of 90- percent relative compaction was attained in the areas tested within the emergency access Iroadway and adjacent slope areas. - In non-structural golf course areas beyond the emergency access roadway the fill soil was -placed and spread using a track dozer. The adequacy of the compaction of non-structural fill areas was based 'upon the minimums of either 85 percent relative compaction or 85 percent saturation.. Field Tests In place moisture/density tests were performed using a nuclear density gauge in accordance with ASTM Test Method D6938-08. A total of 62 field density tests were performed. The approximate test locations are indicated on the attached plans The tests were conducted in general accordance -with ASTM Test Method D 6938 (Nuclear Density Gauge). Results of the field density tests and calculated relative compaction are -summarized ' on the attached table (Table 1). The maximum dry density and optimum moisture content determined in the laboratory have also been indicated. .. . - October 3,201l Project No. 422-11047-1 SBPII-lO-075 Laboratory Tests: The moisture-density relationships for the soil were determined in the laboratory in accordance with ASTM-D Test Method 1557-91. In addition to compaction testing, Sladden Engineering observed the excavation of various key ways adjacent to structural fill areas. The approximate key way locations, bottom elevations and the dates observed are also indicated on the attached plans.
