REFERENCE: 'Preliminary Soil and Geology Investigation Report' dated May 21,
2003, prepared by Hu Associates, Inc.
'Grading Plan' dated February 23, 2006, prepared by Aquaterra
Engineering Inc.
Dear Mr. Possigian:
This is to certify that rough grading of seven (7) residential lots at the subject property had been
completed. In-place compaction density tests were taken at the site by a technician from our
office on an intermittent basis, as required, during the period of the placement of fill. The
observations and test results indicate' that compaction was accomplished in accordance with
the Hu Associates, Inc. soil investigation report dated May 21, 2003, and the City of Carlsbad
grading ordinance.
The soils used in fill on this project are generally classified as very fine to medium silty sand.
The completed subgrade condition is consistent with design recommendations presented in the
aforementioned report and is suitable for, the intended use.
A compaction report including a plot plan showing the location of the tests and test results will
be submitted at the completion of onsite grading. S
